An alumnus of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln USA from where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Chris Tarka, scion of one of Nigeria’s highly respected families is the major driving force behind the vision of the company.

With over 24 years experience in the Mining and affiliated industries, Mr. Tarka combines expertise, knowledge and professionalism in result-oriented leadership.

Christopher Tarka has served in many top establishments in various capacities within and outside of the country. As the pioneer and still, the current CEO of Owukpa Consolidated Mines Limited, his vision is to take the company to the leading role of being the foremost coal mining company in Africa and a world-class company of repute.
